As my friend the policeman says, Stockholm's Old Town seems to be reverting back to the 18th century: Count Carl Piper and his pregnant girlfriend were shot in the schoolyard of the Great Church School during the late afternoon on Tuesday. It turns out that the prime suspect is the former Countess, Carl Piper's ex-wife.

It's downright operatic.

The Swedish word for the day is melodram. I bet you would never guess that it means melodrama.

Act II:
Enter - The Hitman, the slightly overweight bouncer in the downtown night club, who is secretely in love with the ex countess, willing to kill for his love. The ex countess has selfishly used him for her own purposes. Hell has no fury like a woman scorned!

Wouldn't you be annoyed if the hitman you hired successfully shot both targets in the head, and then they both survived? To top it off, he shot one in the mouth, and the victim still managed to *say who to blame for the attack* before losing consciousness.

A bad day for the ex-countess.
